Notes

When Dan originally made the track the DAT was marked LTJ3 (Dan's Reference), so when it was sent for mastering as GLR001, by mistake it was etched and test presses were made with the wrong cat number. This is why the original TP's sent out had this cat number. It was never released as LTJ3, it was altered and then released as GLR001 using the same metal stampers.

If this track was on white as far back as 1991, it was absolutely light years ahead of its time. This isn't just the first atmospheric drum 'n bass record, it's surely the first jungle record of them all. Just listen to that sub-bass, the layered breakbeats, the way the track develops through spacey ambience, cyber-hippy rainforest sounds, frenetic rave moments and into a lush, chilled breakdown. You can hear a whole genre in this track, a decade of future directions. The breakbeat hardcore of the same era sounds almost laughable by comparison. So many junglists are at constant ideological war with Bukem, but it'd take some pretty stern double-think to deny him this proleptic masterpiece.
