Despite DMM mastering, the bass still sounds clear and powerful. The whole listening experience gives you the raw power that Metallica was supposed to have. Highly recommend this copy! -
Edited 6 days agoHands down, this cassette sounds crazyyy good for a normal type. A very audible bass makes this release even better -
This is the best version of all the newer pressings I was able to listen to. -
I found this in the clearance section at my local Walmart for $10. Even if I had paid full price, I would have been happy with the quality of this album. These Walmart exclusive color vinyl releases can be hit or miss, but this one is definitely a hit. -
Flat, centered, quiet pressing, excellent sound quality. Damn, why can’t all new reissues of old metal albums sound this good!?!? -

This is the only record in my collection even remotely close to death metal -
Edited 2 months agoFinally opened the shrink and gave this a spin. Wow! Perfect sound quality in every way. Of course a little quieter than 35-45 minutes album would be, but I had original '83 MFN pressing back in the day and it was the same. People complaining this being with too much highs and too little lows obviously haven't heard original pressing. This reissue kicks harder than OG with better SQ, so no need to search for OG you have to pay yourself to bankrupt. Oh and side B is louder than side A like it originally was.
