so loud and punchy and clear, got this as a gift and it’s the best gift i’ve ever received.

Remixed and remastered from the original multi-track masters…well they must have been pretty poor masters because this pressing features very average audio quality in my view. And not just the audio quality, the outer packaging is cheap and flimsy, which is very disappointing given the hefty price tag ($110 AUD). Sound is thin and compressed, lacking warmth and balanced mid and low end. Vocals are inconsistent in their clarity. I appreciate you can’t polish a 💩 but perhaps this recording should never been translated to vinyl format as it doesn’t really do much for the legacy of this great artist. Ironically, brought to you by a label called “Legacy” and Prince’s own estate. Personally, wish I’d have spent my money on 2 or 3 of his studio albums instead.

Can barely hear the guitar solo on purple rain it’s so distorted

Anyone who says this sounds good, must be playing it on a Crosley suitcase record player, lol. This sounds like stir fried sh$t! And no one can say it’s because of it being an old recording. It’s 1985! I have live albums from the 60’s-70’s that blow this out of the water. Horrible distortion and sibilance on the entire set. I guess this is good for hardcore collectors. But definitely not for a Prince and the Revolution concert experience in your room. Wish I didn’t waste my money on this. Glad I got it on sale. I’ve played it Once since I bought it Months ago. It will NOT be getting another spin

It’s such a powerful recording of what must have been one of the most mind blowing live performances, the only downside is that I was living on the wrong side of the world to have been able to witness this live in 1985, the album makes up for it 🙂

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ audio, incredible for a concert that was recorded over 35 years ago. Contains the definitive version of "Purple Rain", a must-have for any Prince fan. 10/10

I got my colored vinyl box from the official Prince webstore. But my copy is missing the blu-ray.
There is just an empty space in the gatefold that also houses the CD's (they were there).
I already ed the webstore asking for a solution.

Anybody else have this problem?

Sounds phenomenal. Impactful, exciting and so much fun to listen to. I’m very happy with this pressing and enjoy it a hell of a lot.

Records look like they were rushed to the press. Has that dirty smudgy look to them, and they came in paper sleeves, which doesn't help, and while the book is great, I think I'd have prefered a triple gatefold to the "box set" but.......

oh my doesn't just pressing sound amazing! Bernie Grundman is a legend and I swear at times with your eyes closed you could swear you were right there seeing this live.
Cost me $90AUD brand new, but I've paid that for for an album before. In my opinion, the price is worth it just for side F.

If you like Prince from the 1999 & Purple Rain era, definately grab this while it's affordable.

Traveller back in time on a Pro-ject DC Evo with Ortofon 2M Blue, through the MM phono stage of the Cambridge Audio Evo 150, to my ears though a pair of Klipsch Heresy IV.
