I just received mine direct from Mofi, #109/10000 this week. It had none of the QC issues and just a slight bit of surface noise here and there. It sounds just as great as this album always sounds so no disappointment at all with that. I went ahead and compared to my OG copy that I bought in '77 and my '79 Japanese pressing, both in super NM condition. Conclusion: They all are great and it just may not be possible to improve on the OG. It's that good and the Japan version is right there with it. I'm still glad I bought it because the overall package is beautiful and it's nice to have one brand new that sounds as good as the original, but I can't say it does anything better. I have some new gear coming so I will revisit then, to see if this is all constrained by my current middle of the road system.

Picked this up on discogs for $2 listed as VG+. With a wet clean and a run through the ultrasonic, listening to it now, almost to the end of Side A and I am completely blown away. This thing has cleaned nicely. I have 2 other OG USA presses and the 2012 Music On Vinyl re-issue, which is very well done. This one may actually be better than my other pressings. The actual record is pretty thick for a late 70's mass produced release. Nice dark shiny vinyl with no visual or audible issues. It is crisp and dynamic, but warm with some deep darks in the fade outs.

What a phenomenal pressing...just perfect. Not a single audible click on the A side until you hit the runouts and maybe 3 or 4 small ticks between a few tracks on B side. Anyone searching for a copy of this album, this pressing is definitely the way to go. This is definitely the best used record I have purchased in a while. $1 per side! It's nice when you find the gem in the rough.

This is one of the best sounding records I have. The sound quality is unmatched, and my copy plays fine with very low surface noise. I actually enjoy the mastering here fine. As for the album itself, there is just no words to describe the sheer brilliance of Alan Parsons. I can’t ever seem to keep my head still whenever the drums come in during the intro of “I Wouldn't Want to Be Like You”. Can’t recommend this enough. If there are cheap copies listed then go ahead. If there aren’t then sell some other records to buy this. You won’t be disappointed.

I used to listen to this record with my friends, when we smoked hash in the 8:th grade, -78. Today I came across it,I payed 10 kroner- equivalent to 1€ at the Salvation Army. But hey.. I got a light blue inner sleeve. “DZ” at the dead wax. Anyone else who knows about a light blue inner? I’m sure it belongs to “I Robot”. Colors are too “matching”.. Anyway. All the best from Stockholm!

This album remains cheap as hell and it's the engineer of Dark Side of the Moon. Even if you go in blind, this will impress you. Excellent dynamics, super drum sounds, some impressive light disco and a f**king Isaac Asimov inspiration for an album about fears of AI (in the 70's). Worth the $5-$10 it will cost you.

I concur, as do many, that this was APP's zenith, and the sound here is also a benchmark. Wildly dynamic thanks to the expert control down the line from Abbey Road to Greg Calbi.

I just picked up a used copy of this pressing for $10.00. Record sounds excellent. It cranks. Great bass. Vocals are excellent. The highs come in where you’d want them. Great record. I will say though… the silent parts are crackly. Perhaps a good deep cleaning would solve this?

Really good album, shows a lot of depth in their abilities. Very underrated group. If you one Pink Floyd, get the Alan Parsons project

This is just superb pressing. I never had any issues with MOV, unlikely many of the "audiophile* labels, especially MOFI.
