I just noticed that and a lupe is apparently a Polynesian fruit pigeon. Don't know what the relation to the album is since it's just some well made abstract sound collage thing with not a single bird sound but then again absolutely nothing makes sense in electroacoustic music land and you just make of it what your mind makes of it.

Didn't know about the D&D connection, but then I've never really had much to do with that.

And I bet this album could make a lot of lists, for example:
* Strangest/weirdest song titles (as they're much weirder than the album title).
* Unique take on a music genre with unique vocalization, I actually know of just one further band from that period who kinda sounded like Demilich, but didn't go as far as them and only made one demo (Agonized (2)). Are there any more?
* Albums probably written by extraterrestrials ;)

But in of raw weirdness Demilich takes the cake. The song titles are cool, but the lyrics themselves are on an entirely different level. "And You'll Remain..." has to be the apex of bizarre creepiness put to music.

Lupe is also a female name in Spanish. There's a Spanish language version of "Hang on Sloopy" called "Hey Lupe".
