I'd forgotten all about 'Songs For Gay Dogs'! My parents used to have it when I was a kid, I used to find track 1 'Three Old Ladies Locked In The Lavatory' hilarious! The alternative was to play Perry Como's 'Don't Let The Stars Get In Your Eyes' at 78rpm instead of the intended 33rpm

Really. That was the first single by [Invalid Artist] and it launched a very successful if brief career for the band. The three albums that followed were all brilliant. For those who don't speak Hebrew, the second and third albums, Weird Times and The Witches Cover Up have a mix of English and Hebrew tracks. I will be submitting Weird Times, The Best Of The Witches and Inbal Perlmuter's one and only solo album, Last Recordings, shortly.

p.s.: I absolutely love the version of Shivers done by The Witches with Nick Cave in 1995 which was included on The Witches Cover Up (1996). Far better than the original if you can get past her Israeli accent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fE2eJTlMwVw
