I decided to buy this even though I have mid 80s German pressings of all the Zeppelin albums, and I have them around 35 years now, still all in great condition. This one sounds superb I must say. I can hear extra details in the music. The sound is tight and focused. It’s a nice surprise to my ears.
Am I going to buy them all again? Knowing me, probably!
It’s a pity there’s no sleeve notes or essay on the music in this pretty sparse package.
On a side note, it’s hard to believe Robert Plant was only 20 when this album was released! -
Old body, old ears, fresh sound. This is an ace reissue, and as others have said, is excellent value for money
-
The entire LZ catalogue reissues are top-notch. They sound incredible, are great value for money - you don’t need to pay a fortune for OG or audiophile label editions.

Nice music, good repress, just as it should be.
Flat and properly centered.

Edited 3 years agoFlawless pressing! It has a very full and expansive sound. Nice detail. The vocals are clear and dynamic. The bass is perfect and punchy. The drums and guitar sound stellar. I got this EU Pressing from Amazon US. This one is the best sounding one in this reissue series. Jimmy Page did fantastic job on this one!

Guitars, drums, bass, Robert Planet are very well remixed-remastered. that the original recording in 1969 was done with a limited budget when we compare with the rest of the Led Zeppelin catalogue. Well done!

Well, as much as I stay away from re issues from big record labels Iv got to say, this sounds pretty good. This remaster sounds closets to the original issue out of most of the re issues made to date. They've done a fantastic job of getting all the instruments balanced. Plants vocals stand out and the bass is nice and fat. I can tell it's been remastered digitally as there are some point where the guitar and harmonica clash abit when hitting the higher frequencies but it's worth the buy instead of paying a fortune for a original pressing.
Good sounding, high quality pressing. -
Was really amazed by the sound of this pressing. Digital remaster from analog tapes or not, it still sounded amazing.
-
Having listened to 70s issues, Classic Record copies and the 2014 release I can easily say the Classic wins.
