Received, Cleaned, and Spinning this Classic...Both LPs are Flat, Both have some blemishes from the rubbing of the paper inners but not horrible (I hate that most record companies don't spend a couple of pennies to use poly), Both have a rare crackle, and the sound is damn good (nice separation, high are not tiring, mids are smooth, lows are thick (IMO the lows could've been down a touch with highs up a touch in the vocals) on my set-up...
(Fluance RT-82 w/Acrylic Platter, ATN-XP cart/5 stylus. Nobsound T3 Phono Amp, Aiyima A07 Pro, Kicker KB6B, & 2x Polk PSW10 Subs...Simple Low Cost Setup)...Happy Listening -
Wes Garland proves himself a great cutter here, no issues. I was worried after seeing that circle U stamp in the deadwax but fear not, this is the good good.
-
Was initially worried that this was pressed at URP, but this pressing ended up incredibly quiet after a light cleaning! Mastering is also very well done and has almost no inner groove distortion, even on a budget turntable

Sounds fantastic, very clear sound. The sleeves got tons of scraps on them, however, so be ready to clean em off

My copy of this is great. Flat, quiet, etc. That said, I have no other LP version to use as a comparison.
-
My copy has time durations for the songs on the labels. No issue with the center hole being "off." Mine was a used copy so it was cleaned of debris. Sill had a few flecks of something but came off with the my record brush. Mine might be a newer copy than the orignial run in 2013 as well. Perhaps Epic/Sony listened to complaints and corrected the issues listed below with later pressings.
A few songs sound a little "sludgy" to me especially on Disc 1. Side 4 sounds amazing from start to finish though. -
Center hole is off on both records, but they both sound really good. Pretty dirty with flecks of paper from the sleeves, as others have mentioned as well. But they cleaned up fine.

Edited 2 years agoI have received 2 copies of this album and both the center hole was way off center. The discs were both dirty and looked like paper scruffs across each disc. Not sure about the quality of the sound. Never got that far. Hopefully I will get a refund.. Disappointing
