All tracks recorded @ Virus Studios, Soho, London.

Stuart Hawkes credited as 'Stuart' on sleeve, but as 'Stu.' in the runout etching.

'Dozer' is shown on the back cover with an incorrect duration of 1:40 whereas the correct length is actually 6:15. The prior track time likely refers to the length of 'Lithosphere' exclusive to the CD version of Wormhole (VRS 001 CD).

Printed inner sleeves.

I can't add much to the other reviews. But, my 5x12" treasured copy is still in NM condition. I picked it up when visiting NYC in the 1990s. Manhattan had roughly 5 electronic music stores back then, you know, the kind of shops with mostly vinyl for sale, with turntables lining the walls for auditioning one's selections.
I already had one 12" of ER & Optical on Virus that I loved - but almost didn't pick this set up because of its $60 price tag - which seems ridiculous now, but back then it was the most expensive "record" I've ever purchased. Of course I'm super-happy I did. I still spin it occasionally, as this duo is my fave D&B outfit on planet Earth.

Wormhole... nothing fresher. The title track is absolutely unbeatable, they threw the kitchen sink along with the rest of the restaurant supply store into that banger. Unthinkably catchy.
That being said, most of the rest of the record is a "less is more" affair: its mainly focused on groove, texture and atmosphere, rather than the more up front hard hitting vibes of Prototype or Moving Shadow records of that era. This is why its such a stone cold classic. Its been said, the more you listen to this record the more you find bits of nuance and clever, almost hidden sounds trapped forever within. For such a minimal album, its amazingly creative, with punchy, thoughtful mixes that are soft and pleasing to the ear... and even for tech step/Neuro, a much overdone style at this point in time;.. a stand alone monument. The Rosetta stone of darkside DnB.

This has been a favourite since the day it was released, still sounds fresh 25 years later and is probably one of my most cherished vinyls. Every track is a classic, sublime and they mix so well together. BUY ON SIGHT

CLASSIC ALERT - When i heard this album for the first time, I was like immediately in love with the minimalistic beats. It has has a lot of mystery in all the tracks and they fit all together. After hearing this I started DJing drum n bass for some years. The deep sounds and ghost strings are taking me back to this period with also Bad Company's 1st prototype release etc. This is one of the albums you need to have in your collection. Its history and where it all started.... well for me it did. Productions are all topnotch - the pressing of the 5x12" is excellent - 10/10.
