I love The Meters. I am still in awe that they managed to release 8 albums and several singles in under a decade, and all of it is great! That being said, I found it to be difficult to buy physical copies of their albums at an affordable price. When this box set was announced, I was on board right away. With a price point of around $30, I was skeptical that it was too good to be true. It was not!

To my knowledge, this box set compiles pretty much everything that they released during their heyday. That includes several non-album songs released on singles, which I was not intimately familiar with prior to purchasing this set. SoulMusic / Cherry Red really knocked it out of the park on this release, and I have no complaints. It sounds great, and I highly recommend it.
