The Meters – Cabbage Alley

excellent pressing . used to have the original but got stolen. as i can , this equals it.

This pressing sounds fantastic. I don‘t think it‘s analogue source material, but honestly, it doesn‘t really matter: the width of the soundstage, separation and the bass are amazing!

Good pressing quality, and cabbage green yet the mix is a little muddy so not the best mix for this album.

My pressing has clear bass, and good separation between the drums organ and guitar.

This is a great sounding record. Dynamic, no surface noise. A thick slab of green translucent vinyl. Very cabbage like.

Nice pressing. I also didn't get a poly lined inner and the record was stuck with static to it but it was loose enough fit to lift most of the sleeve from the record before removing. Fold over flaps for the inner are folded on the outside so none of those sharp edges against the record when in the inner.

MOV do some amazing work but this is a slight mixed bag. The jacket is their worst one, as plain as it gets but fine i guess. The inner sleeve is not poly lined which is rare for MOV (Only Patrice album otherwise have i seen this). The record therefore comes with more hairlines and scuff than ideal BUT...

Playback is great and sound is brilliant. Its sounds analogue to me even though its unlikely it is. By that i mean it sounds warm, natural and pretty expansive.

I would still recommend for the sound and music but its a 7/10 when most MOV is 9 or 10!

This pressing is very muddy and flat, hardly any dynamics. Not exactly a fun listen, which is a bummer because the music is solid.

My European "Music On Vinyl" Version skips on 3 songs - What a bummer!
The artwork is solid but the cover image is a bit too dark: Really not satisfied with this repress!
