Notes
Hand-numbered in red ballpoint pen on back cover out of 1,000 pressed.
Notes on back sleeve:
"All creative and production work on this soundtrack was done by Synthe•Sound•Trax in their Hawthorne, California studios. Synthe•Sound•Trax (called SST for short) is a unique company of sound consultants who tackle projects ranging from 3-second musical logos to complete film scores.
Three people at SST are responsible for "The Boogey Man" soundtrack.
Tim Krog studied film scoring at UCLA, and has created music for radio and television, working in several cities across the U.S. and Canada.
Jan Bartlett is a creative computer scientist with a multi-million dollar projects for several large corporations; one of his projects took 300 technical people two years to complete. Jan is now President of SST.
Ed Christiano is a talented illustrator as well as a music composer and recording engineer. Ed has made four short films, winning two film awards.
Besides "The Boogey Man" music, this album includes several synthesized sound effects created by SST. Some are similar to a natural sound, seemingly real-life, but with more punch. Others are imaginary sounds which simply don't exist, like a gleam of sunlight.
SST used a variety of equipment to create the sound effects and music, including a Delta Lab DL-2 Acousticomputer, a Symmetrics Dual Signal Gate, a Lexicon Prime Time digital delay, and DBX noise reduction units. Synthesizers used include an Oberheim 8-voice modular synthesizer, a Mini-Moog, a Crumar Multiman-S string synthesizer, and a Prophet V by Sequential Circuits. Recorders used include a TEAC 80-8, Nagra IV and an Otari MX50-50.
The equipment and talent combine to produce lavish, enjoyable blend of creative sound. As you listen, one thing: "The Boogey Man" will get you if you don't watch out."

Reviews
-
Some tracks on the original LP appear to have been taken from an acetate source. All copies of the original LP on SST including sealed copies contain a loud pop on Side 1, Track 1 as well as distortion on this track and the last tracks on each side, all variations of the main theme.

At last this lp is finally going to be reissued on vinyl courtesy of UK soundtrack label Terror Records.
