Will we ever get an official reissue of this soundtrack from possibly the greatest horror film of all time?

There is a 2023 bootleg on yellow marble vinyl out making the rounds. I have a copy and it sounds and looks great.
-
The licensing issues should have been straightened out by now! Let's get some deluxe vinyl and cd re-issues of this Iconic Soundtrack, complete with new pics, and ALL the music cues used in the film (the OG album omitted a lot of what we heard in the film)

This desperately needs a repress. Such a good record. Hope to see a re-issue in the near future. Fingers Crossed.

I used to check the Craigslist ads every Saturday morning for garage sales with "vinyl" or "records" listed. Quite often this activity produced nothing of value or interest, but occasionally I would get lucky and my diligence would be rewarded. One morning in particular there was a single sale advertising records that was about four miles from my house. I drove up and saw the family selling various items from tables and boxes lined up along the driveway. There were two boxes of records, and as I began to thumb through them, I started to think, "Here we go again." And then there appeared what I couldn't believe, a near mint copy of The Shining OST. I checked the disc and it looked as if unplayed. I asked "How much are the records?" and was told the price -- two dollars. SOLD! Nothing else of value, but I finally had my long-sought copy of The Shining. Cleaned it up and played it, and was amazed at the sounds emerging from the speakers.

The soundtrack album on LP was withdrawn due to problems with licensing of the music. The LP soundtrack omits some pieces heard in the film, and also includes complete versions of pieces of which only fragments are heard in the film.

There was a Japanese double-LP release as well. Its not in front of me, can't tell you how the tracklist differs...

Love this soundtrack, but if it ever sees a reissue, change the cover art! A gatefold jacket would also be nice! I have the soundtrack to A Clockwork Orange, which I’m also a fan of, so maybe a jacket similar to that?
