This release has the same cover as the digital version that is labeled as having the “Original Jamaican Mixes.” Does anyone know if the reissue has the standard mixes or the JA mixes?

Edited 10 months agoA good way to get this rare album on vinyl. Very good pressing in my opinion. Sounds fantastic. This album is therapy ! Maybe it is the best reggae album ever. Better than the Congo’s.

Edited one year agoMy copy is mostly clean, only a few tracks with surface noise, other than that there’s no pops or clicks. Great sounding quality all the way from the top end to the bass that is rich.

Edited 3 years agoI just have to set the record straight because my copy of this pressing is fabulous. I always remove the paper sleeves, wash and replace in anti static sleeve.

One of the best roots records out there. This red vinyl pressing is just ok: very noisy with pops clicks and lots of groove rush.
With that said, I still listen to it more often than either digital version I have. It’s not as “HiFi” as either of those, but it does have a certain magic that makes it fun and very vibrant. I will spring for a better pressing at some point, but this one will do as an inexpensive copy till then. -
Edited 4 years agoI have just received a new copy of this red vinyl record and listening for the first time. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with this pressing. The sound is good, but clicks and pops can be heard everywhere on both sides. I can not explain how to sell this record in this quality. Really sad because the music is really good.
