First thing that jumped out at me is just how deep the bass is on this pressing. Overall it sounds pretty damn good, and the dub version of the album on the second LP sounds even better. My copy plays nice and clean with almost no surface noise, but there is a single skip about two minutes into the first song of both sides A & B. on the first LP.

Like Lee Perry's/ The Upsetters' "Scratch The Super Ape" this album has been way ahead in its time of release. This expanded repress is a killer, really NOTHING to complain about. A five star release.

Not a excellent sound, bit compressed. But not a terrible sound. It is acceptible.
Pressing is decent. Some pops here and there. But there is no serious problem. Spindle hole is bit tight.
If you want this album in vinyl, buy this pressing. Cheap but solid pressing. -
Edited 3 years agoI have had 2 different copies that visually look good but have multiple skips. Anyone else have any issues?
edit: I was able to find a solution for this problem - I dialed back the tonearm counterweight lighter than the manufacturer's recommendation and the skipping went away. It turned out it is the master recording used has sections of a little static on the track that would cause a skip when played. Now that it is playing through it sounds great! -
