Absolutely phenomenal pressing. Dynamic, clean, and clear. It sounds like you’re inside of the album when it’s on.
-
There are certain records I own that I go to often because the pressing quality is just so damn good. This is one of them.
-
Direct comparison with original MPO / Town House cut https://www.discogs.sie.com/release/4530114-New-Order-Movement :
This 2016 cut has significantly more upper-mid to high frequency content, adding some edge and harshness (or perhaps extra clarity, depending on your system). The low end is slightly less deep, and the transients slightly more compressed.

The sound on this pressing is very well controlled, powerful (the audio is equally loud compared to the original vinyl), no distortion whatsoever, zero noise and high attention to detail. The remastering is done just right on this one!
-
Agreed with the rest of the comments. Very good pressing, no pops, no clics, zero surface noise. Btw, what a record! It could have been the 3rd release of JD.

Edited 3 years agoMy pressing seems to have odd little distortion "rips" here and there, not enough to ruin the experience, zero surface noise, however. I've cleaned it a couple times but was unable to rid of the occasional quick scratchy rip. Aside from that, this pressing does sounds really, really good. Incredible transients and punch. Well worth the $25 I spent a couple years ago.
