These original UK pressings cut by George Peckham are fantastic. I have an original UK and US. Both are fantastic and essential (US for country of origin and this U.K. for soundstage).

This is one of scariest albums ever (along with Current 93 - Nature Unveiled), still after 45 years...

I'm pretty taken back as to how some of these songs were written in 1978, Fugazi definitely took notes on this one. I have the 2018 Fire Records pressing and it sounds A-Okay... Enjoy!

A couple times this record almost ed “Sunnyvista” and “Return of the Grievous Angel,” records I sold before I understood them and later regretted selling. Pere Ubu’s noise is noisy, their rock rocks, and their hooks are hooks indeed - accomplishments in a world where so many rock bands’ hooks and rock are just noise. But then their noise turns into hooks, like on “Thriller” and “Blow Daddy-O.” Nothing on side 2 is as good as anything on side 1, but side 1 is pretty much perfect.

You owe it to yourself to own a copy of this Alan zentz press and the first UK porky press. They are both excellent in their own way. The UK press is the first vinyl version from 1978. This USA press was pressed a year later in 1979. Enjoy!

Any release after the first album was going to be a notch down but Pere Ubu made a more than decent stab at a follow-up with this austere and strange record of haunting avant art songs. It's an album I bought on the day of elease and I must it that I've never fully plumbd it's depths. It has survived countless collections culls.

One thing I noticed which is quite weird: when I played this on a radio show I used to do, and recorded on Cool Edit (Adobe Auditon).... the audio waveform trace is extremely dynamic, all over the place. Seems completely uncompressed or something. Not that the sound is bad, it's just weird. No other record seems to look or sound like this one.

Amazing that this original pressing of an art rock classic is still affordable. I’m here to say that this pressing is fantastic, super clean stereo separation with lots of fun production tricks clear in the mix. Get it

I bought this when it came out in '78. Always a hit at 714 parties but my friends thought I was crazy. Little did they know it was them in the windows on the album cover.

Is there a Japanese vinyl pressing, for this?

Sure, I saw an an advert, for one, in RECORDS COLLECTOR, back in the early 1990s
