Edited 6 months agoOne of my faves! I love the video for HUMPTY DANCE! Jesus. Brings back memories, one thing.., this version (SR) has a โPrinted in Canadaโ circle logo on the back of the j-card to the left of the barcodeโฆ does that mean this is a Canadian edition? Or is just the artwork is printed in Canada.. -

They need to reissue this album as a 2 CD expanded with the missing songs from the cassette & Hip Hop Doll -
Underwater hiphop extravaganza!! The pressing is fine, the sound is clearer than before, more pophop a la JBs, the colour does not disturb. One of my key-albums of early hiphop: extremely groovin', with dub+jazz elements, cool samples (hendrix!), funny speech as far as I understand.

Edited 2 years agoSounds decent to me, a bit of surface noise. Likely not from an analog source but starting around this time in rap 2" tape would start to be phased out. Sounds good for however it was sourced. Happy that they included the printed inner sleeves. A seriously underrated album in my opinion. Now I hope that a reissue of Sons of the P, which is also stellar.
