Very nice pressing and an excellent buy for the money.

Great release! First ever re-release of the original edition of the album, the ALL the ones that existed earlier up til now is the ”Aske” version which have another mix on for example A lost forgotten sad spirit.

Sometimes I think it's a bit of a pity that bootlegs mustn't be sold on discogs. Some bootlegs are really pretty nice. This seems to be one of those.

It is difficult to draw any conclusions about this album, because perhaps it is the story of Burzum and Mayhem that is byword. The most discussed trend in culture. Is it worth crossing swords again? Let's try it =)

The original and insane talent of this record is obvious, but this material should have remained in the deep underground of the 90s. The media exalted Burzum through actions unrelated to music, this is the luck of the project and its curse. On the one hand, this is a fairly successful album that is regularly reprinted and sold anywhere in the world, but would it be so in demand without the endless exaggeration of the topic of arson and murder? On the other hand, what should not have been the interest of music lovers has turned into one of the most desirable things. You've all seen the insane prices for the first press. There are serious doubts that the owners of the first press listen to this very first press, rather they keep it as a relic under glass. It's not just vinyl or a disc anymore, it's an item that would be nice to include in the will in a separate line.

As absurd as it may be, this vinyl sounds good. When buying this vinyl, you should understand that first of all Burzum is a manifestation of a state of mind, and only second of all - music. So talking about the sound quality of vinyl by default is unnecessary - what kind of sound can a record that was originally created as the worst of musical works have? But this reissue is really nice, perfectly clean playback, appropriate coloring, perfectly smooth surface. About mastering ... what the hell is mastering? There is a certain dynamics and sound depth due to the fact that the analog media sounds more interesting by default. But the desire to get the first press is motivated not by the unconditional sound quality, but by the desire to touch the artifact of those dark days soaked in smoke and blood, to try on the skin of a Varg, to feel like an arsonist and a murderer, to feel better from the fact of possessing a rarity...

...and then years , and now you are no longer an extremist with a 20-year prison sentence, but the head of a family full of blond children, and the past is like a terrible dream.

If you collect the underground of the 90s and the period of pressing is not important, this is a very worthy copy in the collection. There are usually a lot of questions about BoB's products, but the label handled perfectly here.
