The Fragile - Album minutiae:

- The CD version consists of 23 tracks as listed in the master release branch.
- The LP version includes two additional tracks: "10 Miles High" and "The New Flesh". The last song, "Ripe", lacks the second section called "(With Decay)" present on CD. Additionally, the songs are unedited, resulting in some songs running longer than on CD. Any songs that segue on the CD tracklist but are split across LP sides have those segues removed.
- The Cassette version places a secondary section called "(+Appendage)" after the song "Please". This was exclusive to this format, until the release of "The Fragile Deviations 1", in 2016.
- The Fragile Deviations 1 is related to this release as being a full instrumental take on leftover studio material and alternate versions, expanded to 37 tracks in totality.

      It’s neat to see the Fragile in a slimmed down digisleeve. The discs are extremely brittle, however. The left disc shattered into smithereens as I was taking it out of the car stereo. At least we got to listen to it first.

        A stunning presentation of this all-time masterpiece on vinyl. However, the Japanese SHM-CD is still the best sounding version of this album in existence..

          Again, hands-down the definitive text on this legendary album, as far as sound presentation is concerned. Even better than the 2017 definitive vinyl edition the band released. I’m hearing things on this album in the details that I’ve never noticed before, from the first time I heard it in late 2008 when it was released in scarce quantities for the Japanese market.

          On the right equipment, with a set of headphones, this album opens up worlds of sound in ways other CD and vinyl pressings of The Fragile simply do not. You have to go there to understand..

                  Purchased a copy last November from a well-known German retailer as a birthday gift for myself. It was listed for only 39.99 EUR at the time of purchase (now they updated it to 59.99) and I just could not up such an offer. Upon receiving it, my God… I cannot stress how astounding this album in physical form is—the aesthetics and remastering are immaculate. Unfortunately, I noticed some defects when I opened it: Disc 1’s Side B label was off-centre and Disc 3’s Side A label had a noticeable tear across the middle. Now, I may have pushed my luck since the second copy I received last week has the exact same issues... It seems that there had been a bigger batch produced in this manner. I wonder if anyone else has encountered these issues too? Ultimately, I decided to keep it as the pure joy I get from listening to this album on vinyl is definitely worth much more to me than the label mishaps. Hoping in the future to buy another copy though (and praying for With Teeth to be reissued for its 20th anniversary...)

                    As per runouts, this press came out of GZ, not Pallas like the 2017 US or the 2022 EU.
                    Can the OP emerson.marini modify the release accordingly?

                    We live in a beautiful world where an US press (especially a so called 'Definitive Edition') could have came out from a nice american plant, but no, we have to burn some more fuel to get these 2 times around the planet...

                    But, don't get your hope too high: made in or not, my copy had numerous problems, like the US (which i also own). Mostly tiny but deep scratches generating cyclical clicks so... nothing can be sure anymore!

                    Side-note: in the EU, this is marketed as a box-set. This is not. And it should have been. What a missed opportunity here...

                      noticed so much more than i did on streaming. i think this pressing may be one of the best in my collection, just because of how detailed every track is. no complaints. pick it up
