I was assuming the worst as far as the pressing quality due to the previous reviews.
But thankfully my copy is super quiet with no crackling. Thumbs up!

Why can't I add this entry to my collection?? Keep getting the error:

I always found this album a bit difficult, cold or impersonal but listening to this remastered edition it really shines.
The percussion is awesome and it does combine elements of world music with contemporary prog.
It leans heavily on the Fairlight CMI but the samples are subtle and often haunting.
It makes a great companion piece to The Dreaming by Kate Bush also released the same year in 1982.

Nice mastering, detailed and dynamic. Too bad about the lousy pressing :[

Pressing sounds good. Low surface noise. Excellent album. Bass is full and highs are fully present.

Very crackly pressing, all quiet parts have audible noise even after cleaning. Disappointing for an official release.

Agree with other reviews. This is a noisy pressing. First track has the 3-4 seconds snap-crackle sound every rotation until the loudness of the music takes over to mask it. Presses at RI, that explains it!! Aren't they the one's that botched the vinyl pressing of Pink Floyd's Animals 2018 Remix that had the exact same issue? Need I take the review any further? Guess I will stick with the US OG pressing. Sorry for the bad news, but I wouldn't seek this out unless you want to go thru auditing multiple copies. However, you may have better luck getting a Willy Wonka golden ticket.

Fidelity is ok but there's a lot of noise. Pops and crackles ruin an album with quiet sections. Not pleased.

“Lay Hour Hands On Me” is by far the best sounding track on this pressing. The record sounds fine overall, but there are some dull spots, sonically.
