Global Communication - 76:14 (better late than never)
Agreed ;) Though I wasn't really enthusiastic about it when I bought it last year without having heard it before. I was going by the remix they did of The Grid - Rollercoaster, still the best stuff they have ever done IMO. 76:14 has had its time to settle in and I quite like it now. I was just curious about it because of the mediocre reviews it was getting and how it's considered un-fax-like because of the "vocals". I think it fits right into the Sad World series. More Sad World I and II though and to a lesser extent 3. UVOII does have a track with beats in it though. It's a mixed bag, but it's very Atmo and I like it quite a lot. UVOII can still be ordered brand new at Peter directly for €15 (where I got it from) and I'm sure there are a lot of other sources through which it is still available, as it seems to be one of the lesser popular Fax releases for some reason... -

And things I've recently added to my collection, in of post-ambience and sound art :
Set Or Performance
At some stage soon I'll be getting the Extended Play [Triptych For The Child Survivors Of War And Conflict] on Line.
I have problems with Kontakt's "-1". There are some annoying sounds on it, like the heavy breathing and watery clunking at the beginning. I think the sounds used on Untitled are far superior in of their craft, compositional placement, and aural characteristics. Anyone have any thoughts on Kontakt Der Jünglinge ?
I find that many of the aforementioned releases have similar qualities, mostly organic-sounding, and both balance abrasive and subtle sounds in a very pleasing way. Although they all must be played either in the morning, early evening, on a rainy or overcast day, and never mid-day or when the sun is omnipresent. -

Dusty, I agree with that. The photography is not quality at all. I enjoyed the photography for the album "Pop", but that's it. Shame that artwork was dropped with the reissue. -

Trance, which is not bad, but heavily limited by the equipment at the time, which also makes it kind of cute. Light Side Of The Sun, like Trance is slower than their other (goa)trance releases, though usually with a slow beat or percussion of some sort and with synths you'd expect in (goa) trance. They pull it off really well without sounding cheesy, no fillers on this album! The opening track Sunburst is a big trance stomper though, but in a good way. this album is from 1994 when trance was still good. Oh and the music is better than the artwork would suspect ;)
