how this was made in 1992 i have no clue. but this album is so unique, it makes me feel confident, existential and universal. -
Big thumbs up for the music - still classic. Massive thumbs down for this "remastered" cheap-shot reissue. This could have been the chance to present this ambient classic in a dignified packaging, maybe with some liner notes from the man, trivia, comments from other people (like with GC's 76:14) and other fancy stuff. Instead they just went for the super jewelbox, a single booklet insert and badly reproduced artwork. And most important of all: I can't hear anything remotely remastered stuff on here. So maybe someone just lost a mastercopy in the archives... I don't know. Who wants SAW being remastered after all? It's perfect as it is, period.
