I would like to know if this reissue is pressed from the original master tapes. I would expect so tbh, being the official reissue and coming from Manuel's own label. Anyone has any clue?
Also, does the "made in " fact make a noticeable impact in the overall quality? Any help would be appreciated. -
Timeless music that takes you away from the troubles of everyday life. Great pressing to boot. -
Very nicely presented, and for the most part the pressing is spot on - That said, I did need to give the record a good clean, as it was a little noisy out of the gate (it's only particularly noticable during the fade ins/outs, but it wasn't ideal on a new copy.) -
Edited one year agoIs this a DMM cut? I'm quite surprised on A side length, even the original pressing from 1984 lasts 31 minutes, WHAT! btw absolute gem, long live to manuel gottsching -
Still find it strange how Side1 ends with the guitar just coming in, surely it would have been better to end it a minute or so earlier. -

My only exposure to this is streaming and this pressing so hard to help inform the more discerning. No discernible flaws, generally happy with it. -
Very disappointing mastering on this one. Sounds flat and lifeless (for sure cut from CD). The reverb is rendered as a coarse background noise. Not much in the way of stereo. High-hats are too loud.
