I bought my copy new in August 1982, and it did not come with a printed inner sleeve with the lyrics on. It came with an EMI Records Limited company inner sleeve with record care tips. Patent number 1.125.555, DRG Packaging Bags logo, and with 5/82 printed on it.

My copy has all of these details, but on both labels the text and EMI box are in black, not red.

I don't like the sequencing of the album, it is difficult to get a listening mood going when the bubblegum synthpop "Another Word" is stuck in between moody songs "Mirror Man" and "Candy". I would prefer something like:

Disco side (A): Talk Talk, Another Word, Hate, Today, It's So Serious

Chill-out side (B): Mirror Man, Have You Heard The News?, The Party's Over, Candy

That aside, however much I dig their later art-rock outings this is still my favorite Talk Talk album, it is the foundation of their sound, and there are unbelievably good songs on show here like "Hate": rousing tribal synth-pop at it's utter best.

I have to add: It can not be understated how important the electronic drum ala Simmons is for this album, almost a showcase for that new tribal tech.
