Floating may be my favourite Platipus tune and one of the high points of trance of any kind. So much imagination, excitement, exhilaration crammed into this track. Every bit as good today as when I first heard it nearly 25 years ago.

Floating is one my favorite trance tracks, and it is one of the most complex trance tracks ever made. It incorporates lot of different layers, the track constantly evolves and changes, offering a blissful and hypnotic journey. Amazing! -
One of the most important and yet unknown tracks in the trance genre. Claudio was a genius, no doubt about that. He is a master of sounds and this record showcases that huge talent perfectly.

This is one of the best 12" releases off of Platipus. The track "Floating" builds and builds with a melodic melody and sheer bliss. Simple yet beautiful. It is one of those tracks that could seemingly go on forever, hypnotically loosing track of time. "The Scream" Also builds with a melodic melody, yet it quickly is replaced with a driving trance beat. Harder and faster, becoming paranoid, circling the endless abyss and screaming in darkened repetitive melodies. Certainly the highlight of this label. - jtt

Edited 18 years agoFloating is just fantastic. The melodic intro is a little bit long, but it's really good, almost an ambient/mellow production. After that it's a lot like other Platipus tracks of its time (sounds great, mind you). It blows my mind. From the piano riff, to the up-building melody. This is absolutely one of my favorite tracks of all time that has Platipus involved in some way.
