I'm not ever big on "new" albums from rock groups that had their golden age of creativity in the 80s/90s, but Dystopia is a pretty focused effort. If I'm comparing this to everything Megadeth put out up to Youthanasia, it isn't quite up to that level for me, though I do think it's better than Cryptic Writings (and probably anything that came after that). Not many of these songs are going to burn down the singles charts with their hooks, maybe with the exception of Post American World (my favorite track), but the entire album is very consistent and definitely sets a mood. There is some epic shredding on this record, no doubt. The cover is also insanely cool!

My version came with a promo in which if you bought the CD, you would also get sent a vinyl copy as soon as you submitted the code on a website. It shot up the price, but it was worth it. -
Musically and lyrically, very similar to ‘Endgame’.
If you liked ‘Endgame’ you will like ‘Dystopia’. -
En cuanto al disco, la cubierta és espectacular y la imagen impresa del CD, igual. Las canciones són buenísimas! "The threat is real", "Dystopia" y "fatal Illuison" , las tres primeras canciones del disco, ya nos advierten de lo que nos espera: Probablemente uno de los mejores discos de Megadeth.
Las nuevas incorporaciones al grupo, Kiko Loureiro como guitarrista y Chris Adler como baterista, han sido las más acertadas en mi opinión desde el Contdown To Extintion. Kiko nos demuestra su increible potencial con sus demoledores solos en todas y cada una de las canciones del album y Chris, en la canción "Lying in State", machaca el doble bombo durante toda la canción, mostrando así su increible habilidad.
Para concluir, un disco de diez. Mi top 3 de canciones es el siguiente:
