Purchased Jan 27 from Amazon for $14, record arrived clean and flat. Guess I lucked out, my copy has no surface noise and a rare pop or two. Unfortunately this pressing sounds flat and lifeless, like trying to listen through a closed door. Unless you definitely need the original poster art sleeve, the Waxwork releases are the ones to get.

Edited 9 months agoWell the good news is it looks just like the original 1988 pressing and looks great. The bad news is the unbelievable amount of surface noise. My copy was flat and super clean but holy snap, crackle, and pop. I’ll run it through the ultrasonic but won’t make much of a difference on this, it’s just a crap pressing. Sound wise not that great either but definitely would be listenable without the surface noise. I’m keeping it because I love that it’s original artwork and is one of my favorite soundtracks that I will spin.

Ho acquistato due copie ma mi rendo conto che i difetti provengono proprio dalla matrice di stampa, il suono è piatto, pieno di rumori di fondo e scoppiettii continui. Meglio che niente ma una ristampa fatta con le chiappe.

Yeah unfortunately not a very good pressing, the musics on there, sounds hollow and lots of surface noise

What a piece of shit pressing. Had to check the deadwax to see if there was the U in a circle, indicating United. Sure enough, another dud from the United Pressing Plant. Got to love it! My copy is badly warped and they pressed the record label over the run out grooves. They missed the spindle hole by about an inch. And yes, as the other reviewer noted, some tracks do just abruptly and prematurely end. Glad I only paid $2 for this piece of crap.

Do tracks A4 and A9 cut off for anyone else? When I'm playing these on my turntable, they abruptly cut off at the very end with about 3 seconds left in the song and go to the next one. Is this a pressing error or not, as I did a very basic cleaning and had no results. I got mine brand new still in the shrink wrap.

I have bought a copy of this not so needed reissue as it was just there in the bargain bin.
You can feel there is no love in the making, both audio and visual are lower quality that original, and packaging is light, sound is just ok, a bit flat but is does entertain if you are not too regarding... if this was handled by a proper soundtrack label, may be it would have been eventually a great reissue. -
Was wondering whether to get the original pressing or the reissue...I wonder if the problem with the surface noise is with all re-issues coming from this label.

My copy has some serious surface noise but the vinyl looks clean. Something similar with my "Edward Scissorhands" reissue LP, both on the same label. Does anyone have the same problem?
