Notes
The Abyssinians debut album has had a very complex release history. The first unofficial editions were released by Clive Hunt in 1975. The first official release occurred in Jamaica in 1976. Clive Hunt's US-based Azul label released the album later under the title Satta.
Later releases reverted to the original track listing of the limited pre-release editions which placed the title track as the final track. The Azul edition also renamed some tracks.

Edited one year agoMy copy has a tip on jacket. Did later reissues have a tip on jacket? Looks like it's from 1977. Cover has some gloss to it. Inside the sleeve is grayish/tan in color, but lighter than normal cardboard color. It does seem difficult to tell listings apart.

Agree with Toadspotter. I would guess most of the listings posted under this release are in fact modern represses and not the original. The original has a slightly smaller diameter label on the record and does not have a glossy bright white cover (Original will show some paper discolouration from age.) The pictures on this listing accurately show an original, pay close attention to details and ask the seller for pictures. The original and 2013 Jamaican repress are very similar in details however sound very different. (I own both)

Please stop listing post 2000 reissues here unless you have a 1977 record to sell in Mint condition like you sellers are saying! Come on folks -be honest.

Album also known variously as 'Satta Amasagana' or 'Forward On To Zion' depending on who pressed it up.
