I know many feel Load is better…but when it came out I liked Reload straight out. Listening to the vinyl from the CD. The vinyl is a different mix, much less compressed. My pressing is very good and sounds impressive. Highly recommended!

Edited one year agoWarped! Why are many copies of these Blackened releases so warped? The sloppiness of the pressing is evident when one of the records has a thick 1 cm-long vinyl protrusion elongating from the rim which hasn't been cut away.

Sounds really good, no noise at all, quite impressive, but Disc one is quite warped, although it playes without problems. so i can recommend it.

These just got restocked at my local record store. Overall great pressing but there's a super deep gouge at the beginning of Side D which sounded like it was going to snap my stylus in two. Will probably try to replace tomorrow.

Just bought this and St.Anger from the official site and no warp, perfect records just fyi. A lot cheaper than on here or anywhere else.

I bought this a couple years ago from their site and think it's more than a solid pressing, no question. Mine is not warped and have zero issues with skipping/playback. I confress that I am obsessed with deep cleaning all records, including new, before playing, so it could be possible I avoided some of the playback issues experienced by others. I pretty much skipped Load/Reload when they came out, only gaining a newfound love and respect for both albums somewhat recently. Seeing Metallica go "glam", at least by Metallica's previous standards, was a let down for me at the time. I can now say I was wrong and these albums are super solid and f****** rock. Perspective is everything. As always, this album was mixed very well. It's punchy, thick, big bottom end with a non abrasive top end, mids aren't cluttered and if your face but clean and clear. Good pressing. I haven't heard for the first pressing of this album, but I pretty much like this. Recommend.

Sounds OK. I never listen to it, but it’s pretty good. Original probably better. Good for the money, filler copy
-
My first copy skipped on side 3 , and had very bad pops from what looked like bubbles in the vinyl , my 2nd copy is perfect and sounds great
