This was one of my more favoured Soft Cell singles. Tim Pope’s video always did the single credit showing Dave Ball wandering around a lonely London. Marc waking from his sleazy bedsit lost in Soho kidding himself he was having fun. The song is full of classic Soft Cell synth riffs. The simplicity of this production is now lost under over-produced computer programmed chart fodder. This is one of the archetypal three minute pop songs – a classic.

A slightly different mix than the version that appears on the Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret LP. Nice mellow b-side where Marc was giving us a preview of his solo material yet to come!
