Notes

Released in a top loading, die cut, red/yellow sleeve with "The Model" on front. The track-listing stated on back of sleeve is "The Model c/w Computer Love". However, the vinyl and center labels are identical to release Computer Love (which has a Yellow/Green sleeve designating 'Computer Love' as the A side).
So, the vinyl is cut as:
A-side="Computer Love"
B-side="The Model"

Duration only appears on the 'A' side, below Cat # on RH side of label.

A-side: ℗ 1981 Original sound recording made by Golden Cloud Ltd. Published by Kling Klang Musik.
B-side: ℗ 1978 Original sound recording made by Capitol Records Inc. Published by EMI Music Publg. Ltd.

Manufactured in the UK by EMI Records Limited

Originally released July 1981 (charted w-e 11/7/81), re-entered December 1981. It is from this re-entry, that this record hit #1 in January-February 1982. It is designated a double A-Side by Guiness Hit Singles. This sleeve states "The Model", the records and Music Master Official Singles Catalogue state "Computer Love" as the single A-sides.

There is a similar release but with a different placement of the catalog number text and thumbnotch opening (from the A to the E) on the back sleeve.

Runouts are stamped, except "NICKZ" on side A which is etched.

What's the difference (if any) between this and https://www.discogs.sie.com/release/12101812-Kraftwerk-The-Model-Computer-Love ?

Computer Love sounds like a very different mix to me, very different to the album version - especially the mixing and percussion (which cuts out/is mixed down intermittently), and the occasional 'whooshing' sort of sound (which is very high in the mix). Really interesting variant here..(or I might just have a weird pressing!)

“The Model” is great and all but “Computer Love” is an endearing masterpiece

My copy of this has - oddly- no run in groove to speak of on either side, making it very hard to put the needle to the start of the song.
