Probably from digital sources but good dinamics and separation of instruments. My copy is flat with no surface noise or scratches. Totally enjoyable.
-
This record sounds great! No surface noise on my copy. One or two pops on side a. Nothing to worry much about.
-
Musically mine sounds absolutely fine, not lifeless or flat at all, however it does suffer from surface noise even after a clean, not enough to ruin it but it is noticeable throughout the record. For the price I can certainly live with it.

Edited one year agoI don't have a high end hi-fi setup (just a carver preamp connected to powered speakers) and the record sounds great, silent, no noise or anything like that. I can't compare it to the OG pressings but for the price, a very good deal.
-
The pressing might be abit noisy but that is the least of this reissues problems... its one of the flattest, most lifeless and colourless masterings ive ever heard. The £5 remastered CD sounds better. The Youtube compressed rip is better.

I bought the disc new and it dirty, scratched and with red stains so ugly, that if a monkey was working at the Ace pressing plant when this came out of the dirty machine he would yell 'stop this production ' we are letting down our customers and causing irreparable damage to our brand. Unfortunately there was no monkey working there so now I have a piece of dirty vinil that I have to return 70 kms from me. PS noise floor was high on the first track. Returning it

Such a strange mix of reviews on this pressing. Mine sounds quite nice, particularly Ron Carter’s bass is present and jazzy. Clean and flat too. I realize this is most certainly a digital remaster pressed onto vinyl, but for the price a good addition to my collection. Further caveat is that I’m listening on a vintage system, not audiophile.
