Fantastic track from Outrage with two really strong mixes.
"Theme from Outrage (That Piano Mix)" is one of those tracks that just keeps you engaged all the way through, from its simple synth loop intro, the track just builds and builds, with piano's, strings, then drops back down only to slowly build back up introducing fresh sounds driving more energy into the track building into a real crescendo, dropping down and doing all again, amazing track.
"Theme From Outrage" Is a more stripped down version with the focus being more on the synth line and bass.
Amazing 12" well worth a listen. -
Possibly one of the MOST underrated DJ's and producers of the early 1990's house scene, Fabi's sound was always recognisable. JBO was a good label for his work, which was predominantly house music, but he had a tripped out, almost tribal sound way before 'Tribal' was ever a genre. In 93 this track was hammered by DJ's across the board, from Jeremy Healy to Carl Cox, Sasha to Graeme Park. It didn't' seem to matter what genre DJ's were into, this track FITTED their sets. When I first heard it (Dave Seaman at Naughty But Nice, Hereford) I the synth hook grabbed me by the balls and dragged me onto the dance floor, before the piano dropped in and had me climbing over the DJ booth the see what the fuck the record was called.
