When looking for Clash reissues that sound great and come on some of the quietest vinyl with no baked in distortion look now further than the MOV plates pressings. The actual MOV issues came in 2013 but some more recent Legacy reissues use the same plates like this one. I got Clash first 3 albums all with MOV plates and i couldnt be happier!

I never owned the original so I have nothing to compare it to. With that being said, I think this pressing is awesome. I wished all my new pressings sounded this good.

Flawless pressing, one of the most punchy LPs I ever heard.
        Brilliant!

I'm pretty much in agreement with everybody here, this is an amazing pressing. Without a doubt one of the best I own, there's no surface noise at all. My only gripe with this release is that is isn't a gatefold

The gold-standard pressing for this album is the UK original from 1979 – with lacquer cut by Tim Young (timtom). For those that can't afford or find a clean UK original, this pressing is a worthy option.

For this 2013 version, Mick Jones specifically sought out timtom to work his magic again. Sure, there is a digital step as this new cut is based on hi-res transfers of the original tapes. This will matter to some, but to me this pressing sounds amazing! It's got plenty of punch and presence, with some ages leaping out of the speakers and hitting me just like like the first time I heard London Calling. QC-wise, my copy is flat and clean with no dreaded "no fill" bullshit.

I've also heard that some swear by the first US version from 2013 that was cut by Chris Bellman. I've never heard the Bellman cut (though I'd like to). But as I mentioned above, this UK cut here is the one directly approved by The Clash.

Honestly I bet you'll be happy with either this one or the Bellman.

I also have a 1979 UK original, but dangit, I'm a Clash freak so one London Calling is not enough. Enjoy and turn it the fuck up!

Agree with the others. When I got a feeling that something is wrong with my setup because the new LP doesnt sound very good, I always come back and listen to this record to see if everything is alright. This pressing is absolutely excellent.

My copy has COLUMBIA icon in the top of the label, instead of Epic. Someone's else has the same?

Flawless pressing. I heard no noise at all, and the music all comes through brilliantly. Recommended.
