With the album Supernatural was the band around master guitarist Carlos Santana responsible for the most successful comeback by 1999. There was still a large audience for the typical mix of latin and rock, where Santana the patent on. Supernatural, where many famous guests were, became the best-selling plate in the long existence of the band and overloaded with Grammies. On the successor Shaman is the success formula continued. Also now comes a procession of different, often striking young guests past; This time, among other things, Michelle Branch, Dido, Macy Gray, Chad Kroeger, Placido Domingo, Seal and the popular nu metal band P.O.D. especially in the latter, Carlos Santana bold cooperation proves that he is still one of the best rock guitarists in the world and that every one that is open to young talent also in pop music has eternal life.
