On 25 November 1984, Studio 1 at Sarm West was the venue for the recording of "Do They Know It's Christmas" by the of Band Aid in of relief efforts for the 1984–1985 famine in Ethiopia (the studio time was donated by Trevor Horn).
The studios are currently owned by Unforgettable Songs.
