I picked this up in mint condition for £15 at a record fair after the chap assured me it's a very good version.
Gotta say I'm blown away! Not had the pleasure of listening to one of the goldust versions that are seemingly so hallowed, but to my ears this sounds incredible... Space and separation, great frequency spectrum and a beautiful, powerful warmth throughout. No pops or crackles at all and totally silent.
This is a beautiful version of a stellar album. -
What a fantastic find! This one has been flying under the radar. With the UK and German pressings getting most of the accolades. As new listeners try to find affordable options to the afor mentioned versions, this won't be a secret much longer. Get it before the prices jump!

This is a very good sounding edition of DSOTM. The sound is fresh but warm and soft (analogue). The transients and the edge of the tone is really good. The whole music-space breath well and when you are listening you feel good and well.
-
Spacious soundscape. Playful ear candy. Hearing the guitar in the right like up in the mix. Haven't heard it like this in years. For a 1979 pressing everything is still young and full of life. The original tapes and metal works only 6 years old.
-
I will second Jeff's comment--mine sounds crisp with great high's and very little surface noise. I paid more than I wanted but it sounds great. Reference material.

My copy sound very clean, almost no surface noise. It is a good find if you can get it for a good price!
