"Jamaican reissue with overdubs. Sleeve printed by United Printers. ((Click sleeve to enlarge.))
Not the original issue, but I love its little idiosyncracies - the vocals sound like they were recorded in a different room to the microphone; the cover is the wrong way round (looking at the front the opening is on the left); and there are only 10 tracks instead of the 12 listed on the sleeve (omitting Piculiar Man and She Cryed)."
I own this copy (not silkscreen, but same matrix runout). Sleeve opens on the right, and as stated above, vocals do not sound as clear as they could. Worth keeping in mind looking at the current price is being sold. -
Edited 5 years agoAs with other Studio One LPs of the period, this issue has had effects added (synthesiser-style 'Ba-ba-bow's, etc..)' an attempt to 'modernise' a classic release - what a shame. In my humble opinion - avoid this issue.
