From the open chord of “Rocks Off” this pressing rips! Clean and clear vocals, thunderous bass, dynamics off the chain. The Stones at their peak and this pressing proves it!

My copy has two discs, both with sides 3 and 4. If anybody has the copy with two sides 1 and 2, let's make a deal!

This pressing is fantastic! Perfect tonality, low, mid and high is spot on with perfect cymbals throughout. This pressing has the live energy you would want when listening to this album. Highest recommendation for these original USA artisan pressings especially presswell (this press) and monarch as they had great QC

Edited one year agoAgree with findog — I just spun this for the first time in ages, with a newish AT540 cart, and it sounds great right to the inner groove (despite the scuffing and surface crackles that indicates this copy was fairly well-loved before I bought it used). This was clearly not an easy album to make sound just right, and I don't think it's really been done justice since these first pressings. Certainly my first exposure to this music via CD made me think, "What's the fuss about?" This release explains it.

I know the Monarch pressing gets all the praise and it should but this is also absolutely a phenomenal pressing.

It's More Than Fair To Say This Is Among The Vey Greatest Rock N' Roll Album Ever Made. This Original Pressing Sounds Killer, A True Revelation When Compared To The Modern Remasters Which Come Nowhere Near To Showing Off That Murky Unfiltered Raw Rock N' Roll Atmosphere That Defines The Soul Of This Album. A Must Own For All LP Collectors.
