It's only since owning this release that I understaood the title of the album being Elephant. That stomping kick drum is ridiculous.

You don't have to write anything about the music - it's a dream. But the record is magnificent. A perfect example of how a record can sound. I am absolutely thrilled. A dynamic like I have rarely experienced. Many thanks to everyone involved.

On the subject of his and Meg White’s 2003 album, White says:
“Did you know the British sleeve of Elephant was made out of recycled elephant dung? We forgot to tell people about that at the time.”
