FYI - I got Face Value on AP 45rpm Atlantic 75 and to be honest the SV version at 33rpm is 95%- 99% as good as the AP 45rpm…
… unfortunately, while many Genesis albums are now getting the AP 45 rpm treatment (including Abacab FFS), sadly Duke is not on the Atlantic 75 list 👎 -
For an analogue kind of guy like me, Duke on Vinyl has been an unhappy time until now.
This is a long album and probably ought to be pressed on 2 x 45rpm by Analogue Productions (or similar) as most single 33rpm LP pressings are truly dreadful - enough for you to think you’ve chipped the end off your stylus.
But the Simply Vinyl version is really very good and I doubt it could be bettered by any other current 33rpm LP.
At last a pressing of this great album that you can enjoy...
