First clear copy was noisy and and getting siblance throughout side 1… side 2 sounded amazing and I love the album! Got a replacement copy and both sides sound awesome! Got lucky this time.

Wild God is a letdown for me. I loved Ghosteen and consider it up there with my favorite albums of all time so not surprising it might be a hard act to follow for me. I thought everything about Ghosteen was just pure magic, pure art, it's the pinnacle of Nick Cave in my opinion. A big part of the problem for me with Wild God is that it sounds like shit. Thin and compressed, it's missing something, the recording sucks to my ear. The pressing is fine, pretty quiet but the mastering or just the whole recording is off. Lifeless! It makes the songs hard to engage with. I think there are some moments that are great here and maybe this will grow on me but when the choir and voices all rise to a crescendo it's just a blurry and glarry sounding mess. Not something you would expect from Nick Cave. Maybe this will play better on the bluetooth speaker, I'll try that but on the hifi system it's really lacking.

Harsh digital glare renders this pressing unlistenable for me. Between the bass and the dynamic squashing, it mystifies me that this pressing got approved at all.

I still wonder why the cover is not embossed, given the high price they asked....

              Wow; what a fantastic album
Very hard to get the inner sleeve out of the sleeve.
My copy is quiet, flat and sounds beautiful. So pleased with it

My clear pressing is excellent, no surface noises. Inner is tight in jacket, yes, switched to rice paper for convenience.

What a gorgeous album. Frogs and the Sunday Morning Coming Down reference, sublime. Absolutely has Dave Fridmann’s magical production all throughout.
My copy sounds fantastic. yeah, the ill fitting packaging is a bit of a conundrum. Doesn’t even fit in a larger protective sleeve.
                  Oh, well.

My copy suffers from some of the worst surface noise I’ve ever experienced. Hopefully an exchange yields better results.

Easily one of the worst packagings ever. Thick cardboard sleeve and you use a lot ot force to put the Vinyl back in - and it takes a few tries.

                      Pressing sounds great, though!
