This is a work of art. The record version, sleeve unsured. A tad more understated than some of the bigger hitter albums but worth the poa for slug dub . Heartfelt recommendation

Stunning album, I would love if a 30 year anniversary vinyl reissue was to come out next year, would definitely grab one if it did!

Probably one of the best ambient albums ever released. This has so many layers, you can at times nearly loose yourself in it if you sit down and listen, especially with a set of good headphones. I have always liked this album, but I appreciate it more and more over the years. Always sounds fresh, and you can discover new details with each listen. The Orb has paid so much attention to detail that it's a work of art in itself.

Edited 2 years agoProbably The Orb's best album, but by 1995 they were no longer press darlings, so sadly the album has got "forgotten" in comparison to their previous output.

I own the ILPSD map version (the collectible one) and live in the US. I notice not many copies are shipping from the states. I'm not going to list it but if anyone from the states is interested - make an offer in DM. Can send pics and correspond. Not going out of my way to part with it, but if someone is interested I will sell for a fair negotiated price and free ups shipping in continental US. It's a great copy. Close to NM all around at a conservative grading, Plays at NM throughout. Sleeve is flawless.

I finally got a copy on vinyl, it was worth the wait. I hearing my mate play this on CD in his Cortina back when it came out - sounds good in a car.
This is essential listening material if you like The Orb as to my ears is possibly their best, esp Oxbow Lakes. -
If you only ever buy one The Orb album, make sure this is it.... oh, you might want Pomme Fritz as well!

For some time I considered "Orbus Terrarum" to be of ambient genre, but then I realised it really wasn't a piece to relax to. It demands attention. It swirls and waves and bubbles and grows before your eyes like a living organism. Both airy and dense, liquid and solid, this album is one of a kind.
I'm just not sure about "Slug Dub". Although in a typical orb-esque humorous style, it seems quite out of place.
