I have a US vinyl first press (non Island) and a Blue hype stickered cover (per Discogs image) but on a UK Island sleeve! Very unusual. Any ideas?

Edited 12 years agoWarren G's debut album is simply boomtastic. 19 years after its release, it still sounds as fresh as the day it was made. Lines like 'Rat-a-tat-tat, Dum-de-dum-dum' typify the simplistic yet deeply meaningful lyrics which abound on this recording. Is it possible to convey how utterly trivial the sound of automatic gunfire has become in fewer words? I don't think so. Yes, this is Rap from the top drawer, delivered in a musical package that hits you just as hard as the rhymes. The loops are dark, even sinister, and they come with a sub bass that could well have been sent straight from Hell. In parts it's very Dre...very Snoop...but ultimately it's very G. In both the Warren and the Gangsta senses. If you ever thought about upgrading your sound system, this record is definitely for you. It'll blow your existing system apart and give you the excuse you always needed to buy a better one!
