For me this is her best work. Utterly transcendental minimalism. Release Does Spring Hide Its Joy V3 on vinyl you cowards! ;-)
-
Great album, disappointing pressing. Some surface noise, some pops and crackles, flimsy vinyl. The packaging is also subpar, even the print on the sleeve is bad, very pixely and low-res.

Edited one year agoThis doesn't really do it for me. It's boring. I think her best works are Organ Derges and Sacrificial Code
-
The sound is good for me except some issues with side C. Multiple loud pops . This is some deep listening stuff and maybe will reveal more in time. It's all one continuous drone with shifting and developing layers between the 3 players. It's an immersive experience. I am still moved much more by the sacrificial code and find both of KM's last albums a bit underwhelming but this is still pretty top notch stuff. The packaging leaves a little to be desired at least a gatefold to hold 3 LPs would have been nice and they did charge a lot for it on bandcamp so not unrealistic to expect.

Edited 2 years agoall is fine, besides the bad distortion on the last side (C2) towards the end of the track. I hope it's not the same for the rest of you!

The pressing is pristine nice dynamic and quiet; however, maybe I am asking for too much. Man the packaging on this left a lot to be desired. Three LPs no gatefold or trifold. Cut an entire hour of material. Overall happy to be in my collection as I enjoy the album greatly, just bummed about the presentation and cutting 1/3 of the album. Hope the cassette has all the material.
