Lots of these babys going for sale on ebay for a good 30 bucks wanted a 1994 pressing but dont feel like spending a whole lot so hopefully this will suffice and for people searching for one that wont burn a hole in your pocket -
My copy matches the "Variant 18" codes. No digital , no Black To Black sticker (or any BTB indicators). Has a "MADE IN CANADA" sticker also. Wondering why there are these differences.
Great collection of songs! Personally, I could do without the dialogue tracks, but they go by quickly. -
I think this is an excellent pressing. In fact, it surprised me in a positive way after listening to it for the first time. Everything just sounds alright with this release. This might be an inexpensive mass product pressing but it is more than OK. Happy with this release. [ Playing this using an Ortofon 2M Black cartridge. ]

this probably would fare better with 2 discs so to split all the tracks in 4 sides, i think they could get better sound out of that, not bad just not particularly impressive at all, would also be cool if they did something with the older tracks cause some of them seem like they could use a decent remastering

got my copy from amazon USA. made in the EU, same bar code. it didn't come with hype sticker and mp3 voucher.
the pressing is fine though. -
Edited 8 years agoFor me this is the best movie soundtrack album ever put together. It helps that Pulp Fiction is my favourite movie, but still..
However I think this pressing is not that good. It's not terrible, but it could sound much better and warmer (or "analog"), considering many of tracks are from the 60's and 70's. It sounds like there was no proper mastering, they just transfered a CD to vinyl.
I have three records from the Back to Black series (this one, GnR - Appetite for destruction and Cream - Disraeli Gears) and I think all of them have the same problem.
Buy it if you're a fan of this movie, but look elsewhere if you consider yourself an audiophile.
