The 1st purple pressing has 2009 on the vinyl label. The other purple pressing has 2010 on the vinyl label.

I was working at Mexican Summer as an intern around when this came out and shipped a lot of this record (grabbed a couple for myself, too). While I'd believe that the overall quantities produced were in line with what's below, it's worth noting that the numbering system definitely seemed wonky or random at times from what I saw. There were also a handful of unnumbered copies of various early pressings that would pop up and get sent out randomly as needed/out of convenience. Also here to triple confirm that the 3rd pressing in 2010 was a lighter, opaque purple.

I'm not sure the below "Salt" tip from '16 is accurate. I purchased my copy directly from Ernest in December '09 (back when he had a Big Cartel page, even), and my copy has "Salt" on the run-out. Furthermore, my copy (#48/2000) was among the "First 50 w/ Photo Book" (anyone who wants to see a screenshot of that PayPal receipt, feel free to DM me), and it seems those zine copies werent' consecutively numbered (since a copy w zine labeled as #57/2000 was reportedly sold in April '15). It's a little confusing, but what's said in the notes per this release, that Purple Haze copies were "not numbered consecutively to 200; some colored copies go past #200" appears true, since a Purple Haze copy labeled as #1655/2000 was sold here in March '15. So to be clear, there's no "original" numbered edition of only 200 copies, but rather 200 Purple Haze copies spread across the first offering of 2000. As for the translucent purple, 1st edition vs. opaque purple, 3rd edition comment also logged below - I can confirm that. My 2009 copy is a dark, translucent purple, and Discogs images of the 3rd pressing from 2010 appear to show an opaque, lighter-colored purple. Hope this helps some bit.

Any potential buyers of this version of the record should definitely request clear photos of the entire run-out of the pressing. Both the original purple and the repress have similar digits, but the only difference will be the inclusion of "Salt" on the repress run-out. Buyer awareness. I've definitely fallen into the trap.

There are two purple pressings...
One is with the third repress I have it. It's randomly numbered but the sticker definitely says purple
