good to have in the collection as a personal fav but definitely won't scratch the audiophile itch as it's pretty compressed. but lowkey that's how it sounds digitally too so fuck it what do you expect. -

Digital compressed source as though they've just stuck the CD onto the vinyl.
Sounds fine i guess. Just nothing to shout about.

My copy matches the runouts, but it looks all white to me. I don’t see any marbling in the images here, either. Are we sure this isn’t just plain ol’ white? -
Lots of inconsistent noise throughout the album. Cleaned it through humminguru and it still plays with noise -

Edited 3 years agoPressing is quiet, but overall this record sounds flat and compressed. The master is loud but not very dynamic. -
Settled.
I bought this in 2011 after working at a sandwich shop for a few months. My manager played them non-stop, and I understand why. The pressing here is great. Loud, but very quiet. Might have something to do with mastering -- although, this isn't my are of expertise. I do think this is their best work. Surrounded by gritty text based sonics. It's nostalgic without being overly consuming. I love every song so it's hard for me to be un-biased. The white looks really cool, but I favor black vinyl as I can see the dust better. Wound up buying the white pressing without even realizing it. It plays well and sounds great, although a bit on the quiet side.
