The Griffon Vulture (gyps fulvus) is a real ' rock animal ' must have thought when he a name Josh Homme had to think of for his latest project. And right-ie, because the ' vulture ' is the Keith Richards among birds. An appropriate name so for Homme's unadulterated super group. In addition to the frontman for Queens Of The Stone Age drummer Dave Grohl also Haley and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) on board. The rumors around long gonsden for four years, but only during a verrassingoptreden at Lowlands 2009 heard the public how Them Crooked Vultures also really sounded. The responses were excited because TCV sounded like the desired sum of the ex-bands of the trio. Dusty beech Homme's riffs, a Led Zep-quote here and there (Reptiles, the rhythm of Ramble On) and typical Grohls stompende drums: TCV has it all. If you have a sturdy and uncomplicated cd wants to hear that good doorrockt then you have with this debut a fine album in the claws struck.
